Post: 4.65.2 Rebug Firmware Problems - Is this happening to you too?
03-01-2015, 11:53 PM #1
(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Hi NGU, let me start off by saying that I love team rebug and their firmware releases! The problem is the newest firmware they released (4.65.2). Everything is perfect except one thing.. and that one thing ruins the entire firmware for me, rendering it pointless to have. Basically this firmware for some reason makes my harddrive run extremely slow when loading/running games (only tested on Grand Theft Auto 5 for now). I freeze when I try to load it up and I've tried various methods: Running it off of webman, mounting via irisman, and even using an external hdd with all leading to the same disastorous end result.

My question is if anyone else is experiencing this problem, and if any of you know how to fix this issue. It would be really much appeciated because I really do love this firmware (it has everything!) just a major bug they forgot to squash stands in the way! ):

The bug appears to be your hard drive! I would buy a PS3 compatible hdd and replace yours! Good luck!

Nope, my harddrive works just fine on other firmware, its just these 4.65 rebug firmwares that make it run slow.

Edit: It's just funny how it makes my harddrive have the same exact symptoms of a corrupted harddrive when it really isn't.

Hmmm..really weird...I've tested both 4.65.1/.2 (REX/DEX) on several different consoles without any issues...Maybe a freeze here or there thats about it! Sorry that you are experiencing problems! But I would try a different hard drive to be sure! Smile

Ive encountered this problem with a couple games I tried to run on my external hard drive. It does this to my COD Ghosts, The Walking Dead, and Saints Row 3. Ive re-download the Walking Dead just to see if it was the game and it was. The problem itself comes from the game being in some way corrupt. So you might have to re-download your game for it to work again

I believe I was running a different harddrive before too (my 500gb was an upgrade). The stock hdd i had was 250gb which was used on 4.65 rebug with the same problems. I know how corrupted harddrives are and how to fix them by connecting them via sata cable to the PC and formatting them. Anyways, I guess I will be trying 4.50 PS3ITA DEX since I hear it has cobra as well.

Rebug 4.53 works for me but for some reason doesn't allow me to connect with TMAPI (i guess its a cobra confliction).

It's funny because I was able to run Call of Duty: Black Ops II fine and used TMAPI on it. Then, ever since I ran GTA 5 and had the loading and freezing issue, its happening to Black Ops II as well..

Edit: Actually, it gets more interesting. I just tried to run BO2 without signing in and it worked but as soon as i signed in, it froze me haha
