All was great except the two files it added to my game section was empty. So I restarted the system in recovery menu and rebuilt the database. After that, the ps3 turned off and after I turned it back on it powered up with no display. Every time I turn it on everything seems to be normal with no abnormal lights but no video. Yes, I have tried different tv's, hdmi cables, the av cables, and the hold power button to detect video settings. I have also pulled the hdd out and even tried with a fresh formated hdd. Will someone help me through this till I get it back up? Please do not take this post down until my problem has been resolved. Thanks

Can you boot into save mode?

I had this problem but only if one thing happens take out your hdd n turn it on if a screen display pops up saying cannot be started you're in luck just get a new hdd to update with the same firmware you were on not a ofw. n remove the corrupted update.if no screen pops up after 1-3mins of being on with no hdd then I am sorry your rsx gpu chip needs to be reballed thats the only way.unless if you can try getting new thermal compound on the gpu/cpu.tuts are on youtube.if u do this just use a pea sized dot on the chips n close it evenly.you'll understand more if you watch the tutorials.I know this much cause I've researched a lot to fix this problem.lol

if u can go in recovery mode then theres no problem just reinstal firmware tru recovery mode

Placed one penny in each corner of GPU chip and now have video again. 😁
