When you dump your nand make sure your E3 Flasher is connected correctly. Try disconnecting it and reconnecting, holding it down firmly whilst flashing.

Make sure you are using the patcher for the firmware you are currently on. For example, you can't use a 4.70 patcher for a ps3 that is on 4.65. Once you have checked this, do what Insight said

all you can do is check double check and try again untill it gives a good backup unless u wanna be risky and use a bad one and fuck everythign up lol
