Well that's the thing I do t actually k ow whether that's the problem as I'm on windows 8. Bit off topic but I just downgraded to 3.55 and back up to 4.65.2 and noticed that every time I went into recovery on those two fw that the menu wasn't there and it was just saying that I need to update my ps3 with data of 2.70 or higher (I know that 2.70 is the lowest fw which can be installed on it but... I thought that was a bit weird?
