and i got same problem my game freezes when i start a match and doesnt let me copy to HDD through multiman but its probably your disc as i think thats my issue.

Your HDD wants to retire... What i suggest is formating your HDD on a pc and the putting it back in your ps3 and then rebuild your database. This should fix the issue. But i wont get your hopes up as this too me sounds like the hdd's arm is failing to keep up with the memory being loaded.
