I have a 120 GB Slim PS3 Model Number: CECH - 2005A

It is currently running Rebug 4.46 Firmware


I have the following doubts:

1. Do i need to first downgrade to 3.55 and then replace the HDD?

2. The HDD which i am putting on my CFW Ps3 is actually from a 4.70 OFW PS3.. So when i replace it.. Will i lose my jailbreak and get the 4.70 OFW instead?

No You Wont Lose Your CFW, You Will Just Need To Renstall It Once The HDD Reads And s setting up. you also dont need to go back to 3.55 just reinstall cfw once you install HDD! i just changed mne last month and the HDD I used was on 4.66. The HDD Doesnt Hold The Frmware!

Nothing other then updating your system software will take away your cfw
