The E3 Flasher I got didnt come with a ESATA Station, I new that when i brought it although I have a bit of a problem now. I am up to the part when i connect the Flasher to the Motherboard. I Fold the E3 Flasher so it now sits where the Hard Drive would sit. But i need to put the hard drive in while i downgrade it according to all the YouTube tutorials. If i put the hard drive in i would have no room to put the E3 Flasher Hopefully you could understand what i mean/am talking about( im not good at explaining things )
Maybe I might not even need the hard drive anywhere, but would that mean i leave the E3 Flasher inside it? As you could probably tell I am new to Downgrading/Jailbreaking and i dont no shit... Somebody please helpp me.

I understand what you mean, you can downgrade a ps3 without the hard drive inserted, saving you the hassle of buying a sata dock & cable.

Ive done it a few times with fats.

Just use the right patcher, if ps3 is on 4.55 ofw use a 4.55 patcher to patch your nor dump.

After you have flashed the dump back to the ps3 re install the hdd & install a 4.55 cfw.

Same if it was on 4.70 ofw, patch with a 4.70 patcher... then install a 4.70 cfw

Does that make any sense???

Note: You might lose all data on the ps3 hdd this way thou.

Another question - I watched the video that you provided, after you have put all the files to and from your microchip do you leave your E3 Flasher in there forever? Or do you take it out and put the hard drive back in once it is complete, do you understand what i mean?

After you have patched the nor dump & flashed it back to the PS3 turn off the PS3

Then reinstall the hdd & reboot & install the cfw

You dont need to keep the e3 flasher connected after you have flash the ps3

Watch this vid, i know its for a slim but the method of getting & installing the dumps is the same



Get at least 3 good dumps & check them like in the vid, if you install a bad patched dump to the ps3 or e3 clip comes lose half way through installing then your console will be bricked.

You dont need to insert the HDD in ps3 not even the e3 flasher. That is for those who want to switch OFW to CFW or CFW to OFW with the switch and you will not lose any data.
