I got the black screen on both startup and recovery. I didnt know how to unbrick it so i tried switching the HDD with a different one from a spare PS3 and bam! it started up on the HDD format process. i reinstalled my CFW and now im on rebug 4.70 D REX. But now when I try to backup a game, it aborts with both irisman and multiman. im using the most recent versions. Is this a problem with my HDD? should i format the original one and put it back in there? how can i fix this? Thank you for your time.

Try a different game and see if it works, If not I would reformat the other drive and put it back in
