Post: problem with my ps3 YLOD

(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Hey Guys So For Some Time Now i have been using my ps3 i had the top off and didn't realized it had ylod and i was still using it it would turn on and off and i had to do this about 30 - 40 times before it stays turned on but it is only when its cold in my room i have to turn it on about 30 - 40 times before it stays on cause im in winter atm but when im in summer it only takes 3 - 5 times before it stays on and i only just realized it had ylod today after putting the top case back on it just thought i would tell you guys you can still turn your ps3 on when it has a ylod and i would like to hear your stories

Just microwave the damn ps3.. it will liveSmile as proven on sticky.. hahaha

hahah nah i dont want to fuck it more than what it is now i can still turn the ps3 on so im happy about that lol

Oven would work but microwave, fuq no. It needs some new thermal paste on the chips.

thermal paste doesnt fix ylod lol plus i replaced it not long ago after the problem started happening

I fix many ps3 with this, maybe u use bullshit termal paste... I always use artic silver 5

YLOD Ps3 dont work tho? Correct me if im incorrect

+1 if your solder is melted and contact isn't being made you either have ylod or you don't it wont intermittently turn on and off. It sounds like it's the thermal paste

If its an older PS3, a original PS3 with the shitty PSU, your PSU may be going bad not the chips/motherboard
