(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Hello NGU, So yesterday my ps3 shut off will the flashing red light. Tried to turn the console back on & was immediately seeing the Yellow Light & the system turning back off. The system had recently been re-balled and was working perfectly fine for a good 2 months the thermal paste was also changed during this process to arctic silver 5. So when I opened my ps3 today it still looked like the chips and thermal paste were fine but I went ahead and replaced the old thermal paste and made sure all dust was cleaned away, but still getting YLOD. I'm not sure what is causing the problem? If it matters I am using a Fat CECH-G01

It is just a old PS3, in some cases it can be just the problem.

Phat PS3s typically have a lot of problems. If there's no way you can fix it, I recommend sending it into a shop or just investing in a new console.

I'd recomment investing in a new console, unless you have really important stuff/saves on it. My previous PS3 did the YLOD, i've got it fixed three times, in three different places (yeah, I was young and retarded) the first time lasting 2 weeks, the second time around 3 days, and the last time 2 minutes. Could have bought a new ps3 and some cheeseburgers with all the money spent. But I didn't want to lose my DmC : HD Collection file, since I had just completed Dante Must Die mode, the (totally impossible) legit way.
