Post: My jb PS3 hard drive is broke

(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); I didn't have much on there so not bothered about losing game data or anything and I have another hard drive I can put in there now but will I lose my jail break if I didn't back up before it broke?.

It's the same as upgrading a hard drive :sly: Replace the hard drive (your ps3 will automatically format it to FAT32) and reinstall the last firmware that you were on via recovery menu, you won't lose your jailbreak Needa

I defeated!
The hard drive is not associated with what firmware you are capable of running, so you are fine. You will loose all games, installs and home brews but you can re-install them.

I would suggest you just buy a new hard drive, all you will lose is your games, pkgs and such.
