now that i install rebug i had a corrupted hard drive. i re formatted with no problems a few days ago. now to day when i got on the ps3 the ps3 would freeze on start up of a game i had to restart and still had the problem. when i went to rebiuld the date base i got the msg to re format the hard drive

so i need help what should i do get a new hard drive is that the problem there ? and i need to fix the heating problem also i know that

btw the ps3 is the fat one with an 800gb hard drive

The over heating issue sounds like premature YLOD changing firmwares wont fix this. You can change the thermal paste (i recommend genuine Artic silver ) but the root of the cause could be the soldering on your cpu.

Try reinstalling your current firmware before you replace the HDD , if you have an esata station you can reformat the hdd on your computer yourself.
