You would need a computer to do this. You would also need an E3 Flasher.

You need to flash the ps3 down to 3.55 with a piece of hardware called a e3 flasher in order to install the jailbreak. Or either just buy a jailbroken ps3 from like ebay or something it will only cost you like $100 extra from a e3 flasher.

There is no way to jailbreak your console without an E3 Flasher. You have to be on firmware 3.55 to install a CFW.
1. Buy an E3 flasher and downgrade your console by yourself
2. Buy a console which is already jailbroken.
End of the story.

You can't jailbreak a console on any firmware but 3.55. The only way to go back to that is downgrade your console with an e3 flasher which is a piece of hardware. Also not every model is downgradable. If you are on 3.55 you will need a pc or laptop to install the mod menus.
