You can't, but there is a thread somewhere to use FTP while playing games and such. It's a lot slower but works, it uses PRXLoader. Try to google it. "How to ftp while playing games".

Use WebMAN.
They allow for "24/7" FTP.
Even when running games/homebrew and while on the XMB!
