CECHH02 and when i tried to start it it up it said it found no firmware to start it up, and it said to install 4.50 firmware and press start and select to install and start up, but i was wondering if I could ignore that part and install 3.55 OFW since it has no firmware available? Is that possible?

EDIT: I tried installing 3.55 OFW and it took about 30 minutes until it said data corrupted 8002f2c5. I forgot which site i downloaded it from though. Any help is appreciated

I'm guessing you weren't on Custom Firmware before this error occured?
That error means you are trying to install a lower firmware than the previous/current firmware on your console.
Since it's asking for 4.50, it means you can only install 4.50 OFW (or higher.)
You cannot install 3.55 OFW and/or any custom firmware.

Your only possibility would be an hardware flasher.
You have CECHH02, which is NOR and is possible to downgrade.
Your best bet would be to look for a downgrade service online!

it sounds like your ps3 is asking for ofw 4.50 so trying to install a lower or custom firmware wont work

Since you're stating you're new, it might have been better to have purchased a service so it could be done FOR you, since there is quite a risk of bricking.
But oh well, too late for that
