Well first of all, which firmware are you on at the moment? You probably need a spoofer to be able to go online.

I haven't received the ps3 yet but what version do you recommend for me being in I just want to get everything ready

What firmware did you buy it on? Is it pre-jailbroken or is it 3.55 OFW?
