Well if anything, I would just get a BLES copy of gta v off of the internet.

Your USB might not be able to hold the size of the copy, how many GB is your USB?

I'm not copying to USB I am putting it right on the plastation drive

How much space on the hdd on the ps3? There may be insufficient space which is causing it to abort.
