Well, to start off, what firmware did you get it on?

ugh. im on 4.66

So your going to need a spoofer, what CFW are you using? like Rebug.... ect

I am pretty sure Habib is the only firmware on 4.66.

I would not recommend Habib. It is nowhere near as close to Rebug. It has so many more features and gets updated often. Use the Rogero Downgrader to get to 999 then go to 3.55 OFW then go to 3.55 CFW. Install the Toggle QA package and launch it with no charger cables or DVD etc. Then open the package and do not touch a thing. Let it do its thing then it will kick you back to the XMB, which means you did it right. After that, install 4.70.1 REX and that's it Make sure to install Antiban for your games too.

Then there is no need to worry you can either install a newer CFW to replace the 4.66 Habib one that you may possibly have and use any CFW of your choice.

I prefer Rebug myself and they have released there 4.75 so there is no need to spoof if you install that one however you will need to spoof your idps and things if your console banned. Do you no if this is the case or not?

IF it is then you will need to find a new CID but if it is not then all you need to do is to disable the CFW syscalls and things like that before going online to reduce the risk of banning you straight away.

However remember that there is no 100% chance you will not be banned it's just a matter of when.

Personally I don't understand why people want to get a Jailbroken PS3 without checking out what they can and can't do before hand it seems like a really dumb move imo.

However that being said there is plenty of people that will help you out just remember to quote them so they no you have replied to the thread.

So to begin with this is what you will need to decide for yourself.

1. You will need to see if you want to stay on Habib CFW or if you want to choose a different one all together, then you would need to install it. (remember to remove any disc that is in the console before updating)
2. Once you have done that you will need to no what CFW your running obviously so you can either get any compatible spoofers you will need or not. (an example would be on Habib 4.66 you will need spoofers to go online however 4.75 don't as they are already the latest CFW)
