Post: Just got PS3 out of storage. Looking to hack/mod it. (3.21/CHECL01)

(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); So I've recently gotten some things out of storage from when I was around 12 (currently 18 ), including my old phat PS3. It's running OFW 3.21 (Model: CHECL01) and was wondering if someone could point me in the right direction. I'm looking mostly to just to be able to backup my ps3 games to a hard drive and play them whenever I want as well as to be able to install different custom firmwares when I feel like doing that. Moving to college soon ~2k miles from home. Anyone point me in the right direction? Also would love to be able to attach a debugger to games and mess with them.

Jesus 3.21? That's more than 4 years old. It can be modded, you got Skype so I can guide you faster?

+1 if you want really good help I recommend adding him on skype Smile

Overall its a fairly simple process but having someone walk you through it the first time is very handy

Sorry, haven't been around in a couple days, forgot to check. I've been able to get everything running on REBUG and switched to DEX and whatnot after tinkering around on my own. The guide I read didn't have my model listed as being able to be modded without having to buy something so I was confused. Thanks for offering though. Also, 3.21 is around five years old I believe. Recently had to reformat my computer's hd and been busy getting more things out of storage and going through them, so haven't had much free time.
