I was on rebug 4.70 DEX Firmware and today I wanted to downgrade to 3.55 so I could install the new Rebug which is 4.75.3 But I wasn't able to downgrade, I used the Rogero 3.55 Downgrader RSOD but It wouldn't let me downgrade it would say 'The data is corrupted. (80029CCA)' I tried using the downgrader via recovery mode/safe mode still it would say 'No data file applicable' Then I used a DEX Downgrader that worked via Recovery Mode as well that worked fine, it downgraded it to 3.55 this is the DEX Downgrader I used: You must login or register to view this content.

Well since you were already on 4.70 dex you could of just updated to 4.75.3 and it's showing cex I guess because you aren't on a rebug firmware

Yeah I did try updating to 4.75.3 when I was on 4.70 but it would still give me the error 'The data is corrupted' I re-downloaded the firmware too, and formatted my USB drive to FAT32 and made sure that I created the files correctly PS3 > UPDATE > PS3UPDAT.PUP but still no luck, also tried using another USB Stick still no luck, I also tried both USB ports on the PS3 and still pops up with the same error, even in Recovery mode it does not work at all.

Not too sure why it's not updating. :S

Nevermind, I've fixed the issue Had to install a D-REX Version instead I was installing the REX version. Since my LV2 was CEX but target type was still DEX.
