I remember there was a custom proxy server to update different firmwares on. Like Sony has. But I can't remember where from or if its still around and live...

On Dex it has the option to save firmwares on the HDD for when u update. I have the 3.55 update saved and 4.50 ita saved if ur on Dex it should give u the option to save the firmware
