Not sure this is posted in the correct location, but It might be better for you to describe in as much detail as possible what its doing (or not doing). From cold boot, warm boot, any other lights, fan running fast or not at all, etc.

Believe may also be referred to as the YLOD (yellow light of death) if so. These two videos can help you.

Infraction said it right. Thats why I was suggesting to describe whats happening. There is the YLOD, BLOD, GLOD, etc and all have different remedies. If YLOD the first thing to do is clean the console and replace the thermal compound. If that doesn't work, then a reflow or reball is in order.

Okay, I had one that did something like what you are describing..... Try turning it on from a cold boot.... allow it to run for 2-3 minutes. Do NOT turn the console off like normal..... Turn the power pack switch off in back, wait a few seconds then turn it back on. Now start the PS3 again. Does the picture show? Are there other lights that show in front?
