In my JB PS3 I have an 80gb hard drive that just doesn't do the job. I have a 750gb hard drive to replace it with but I am curious about the process.
I understand that dropping the hard drive in the console and booting it up would allow for the formatting and what not but that is not my concern. I have previously patched my PS3 nor in order to allow downgrading, when installing the firmware to the console would that allow for it to be instantly downgrade-able to 3.55 for the JB. Or would I have to use my E3 flasher again?

Thanks for any answers.

EDIT: I just noticed another thread relating to the same question but still curious. Someone suggested removing spoof, downgrading to 3.55 and then replacing the hard drive. Unfortunately I have not found a lot of info.
I suppose I shouldn't be worried because I do possess as E3 flasher but I'm looking for the easiest process.

Yes simply all you'll need to do is replace the Hard-Drive and it will ask you to format it... Format then continue the process... I've done this once myself... You could also look on Youtube Videos FOR guidance...
