You might have the PS3 RLOD which are common with PHATs... you could have it repaired or buy another one for a cheaper price? Most likely because there wasn't enough ventilation in your PS3.

No... there is two YLOD and RLOD. YLOD blinks the Yellow LED when it turns off and RLOD blinks the Red LED when it turns off.

Yeah it's most likely the RLOD commonly occurs with PHATs that have poor ventilation...
