yes but i cant go to the xmb menu im stuck on a menu saying previous update failed please update to 9.99 or higher and i try to search but it never does nothing it just says checking..

can u access the recovery menu? if u can i would suggest reinstalling the downgrader from there

You need to put the update onto your USB... create a folder called PS3 and within that folder create a sub-folder called UPDATE. Then place your PS3UPDAT.PUP in there... now place your USB on the right port and click start and select when your on that menu.
