(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); ill turn on my ps3 then a few seconds later it will shut off by itself and blink red, i then have to hit the power button twice for it to turn on, then i have to restore corruption lol, this is becoming a major pain. is there any fix for this or why it would be doing this?

If it's a FAT model then that answers the question, those aren't for modding xD.

Did you drop/damage your console recently? Or has this been going on for a long time... since it may be that your RSK Chip may be damaged.

Your console is experiencing first stages of ylod. It is overheating and at this point you can either let it happen and it will get worse until you can no longer power it on, or you can hurry up and change that thermal paste before it shits out on you and requires a reflow(s) or reball. gl

my guess is your ps3 is overheating, there is a couple of ways to go about this, but i would suggest that u try re-applying thermal paste to it first.

CFW? if so you failed to keep your fan turned up to prevent this, Heat is the #1 killer, get a reflow and keep fan turned up to keep it cool and problem solved, i crank my fan up to 3/4 or better, yeah it might be alitle loud but after hrs of gaming im still in the low 50's on the cell/rsx
