My system shut off and now when i turn it on it says system software cannot be run correctly install firmware 2.70 or later. What dose this mean is it fixable if so how do i do so? Its s slim ps3

Download the Rogero 3.55 downgrader.

Get a USB and make a folder named PS3. Inside that folder make another folder named UPDATE. Inside that folder place the Rogero downgrader and name it PS3UPDAT.PUP
Connect that to the console then turn it on.

In the error menu you should be able to press a combination it tells you and your console will reinstall 3.55 firmware.

Alright i tryed that it says no update found. When i tryed that let me try another usb.

did you have a game disc in the drive when you attempted conversion? you went from 4.75 to 2.70 this shouldn't be possible but i have had it happen once before the only psupdate.pups that would be recognized were ofw. (after much googling and forum hopping I just bit the bullet updated to ofw and redump/patch to get running again)

before i resorted to that if downgrader wont work, I would try downloading the latest D-REX and see if possibly the conversion was made and now you need a dex pup. sorry i cant be of more help.

Alright so try the D-rex first and thank you. I had no disc in during the conversion. So tey the newest sony update?

You have a corrupted harddrive or firmware files.if your target type and lv2 is dex you can go ahead and install the rebug D-REX or whatever your going to install.

Yes, if downgrader isn't recognized download the latest rebug d-rex. make sure you are renaming the pup to ps3updat.pup and putting it in the ps3/update folder of a fat32 flash drive.
when it fails to start press start and select to attempt update.
if that doesnt find it try again from the recovery menu.
If that still wont update. Im afraid at that point the only think i could think of is going back to ofw 4.76 re dump nor, Patch and reflash. Do you have an e3 or did you purchase the console jailbroken?

I bought it jail broken i will just try the tings you said if not i will buy another one

Format your ps3 then use modlinkz tutorial on how to install 4.75.1 REX it's on YouTube. I had this same problem is fixed now.
