(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); I have a ps3 on 4.50 ita, the xmb lags a bit but not when im in a game, i was wondering if i can format the hdd via using a cable to connect it to mu laptop
will i lose the cfw?
i have an e3, i can simply put 4.76 ofw then take the hdd and format it then install 4.76 again and then go back to cfw,
just want to know if i can format it without loosing cfw first.

You will not lose cfw.
With the hdd still in the ps3:

1. Boot the ps3 into recovery mode
2. Select option "restore ps3 system"
This will wipe everything and bring you to a black screen asking for your last syscall(last cfw you had installed)
3. Install the last cfw you had installed
done.

I did this but it didn't ask for the syscall, it did delete everything and I still get lag on the xmb
