(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); so i downgraded a ps3 had 3.55 then coverted to dex and now when i have it on for like 10 min it says the ps3 is too hot and shutting down. But i installed thermal paste too idk whats wrong with it if i put too much or what. i put just 1 layer on it on GPU and CPU like box things. If someone knows why just hmu it didn't overheat before i don't think.

First thing you want to consider is being wise when deciding to run the console. Don't let it overheat. If it turns on and you notice anything out of the ordinary, turn it back off. Once overheat damages are done (as in it hits ylod and wont turn on anymore) it will be tough to get it back to 100%.

What type of thermal paste did you use? This is very important. I personally use, and only suggest using Arctic Silver 5, for Ps3s anyways..

Run a small line down the side of each chip and use a card to apply a thin, flat, and evenly spread layer.

It's also a good idea to remove the clamps and bend the middles inward, to help make sure that the heatsinks are making complete contact with the chips.

Check on CCAPI on next restart. Your console should hopefully be sitting in the low 40s on idle (startup) and 60s while gaming (warmup) .

Once you're on your PS3, get your PS3's IP Address. Now, go to your PC and type in your PS3 IP on any web browser. Make sure you have multiMAN/PS3ITA/irsiMAN installed on your PC and CFW. In addition, once you enter your IP. It should bring up the homebrew app of MMCD, irisman, etc... Scroll down until you see the section where it says "Temperature" Raise up your fan speed a bit up, and make sure to keep it at 50-60 constant so it stays there. Need help with it just quote me or PM.

or just try to use this as a helpful link: You must login or register to view this content.

Cheers, Hydro Hi
