im trying to go 3.55 to rebug 4.78.2 rex

Find a tutorial online theres a bunch of them. You cant go straight from 3.55 OFW to whatever firmware. You need to install 1 or 2 other firmwares before going to whatever firmware you want.

1. Install You must login or register to view this content.

2. Once one the downgrader, run You must login or register to view this content. (or go to rebug toolbox, enable qa toggle, then go to restart system)

On next restart, scroll to network settings and press ( L1,L2,L3,R1,R2,dpadDown altogether) and you should see debug settings pop up

You are then free to install a (CEX) cfw of your choice.


Note*
verify your folder structure:
fat32formattedflashdriveroot/PS3/UPDATE/PS3UPDAT.PUP

and that you are using the right most usb port of the ps3

Do as he said ^ and then install a normal 3.55 CFW and then any 4.XX you wish.
