(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); My phat PS3 gets very hot when i'm in a game, I checked in it CCAPI and my CPU was 81C and my RSX was like 77. I already have Control Fan Utility installed on it. But when I open it I just get a black screen. My room is very warm too.

That's way too hot and considered overheating. Use Webman to edit fan speeds. Make it manual go to 60% to see how that works.

How do I set up "Webman"? I'm on Rebug 4.75.3 D-REX and I don't have any pkg called Webman.

It's not a pkg, go into toolbox. Go to 2nd column and enable cobra then Webman. Reboot. Install this and run once:

You must login or register to view this content.

Then go on PC and type in your PS3 IP address on your browser as if it was a website. Go over to setup, scroll down until you see fan thingy and click the bubble on the left for manually and set to 60%.

Still running at 79C (CPU) in game :(, did it even work? What should I do?

You should get new thermal paste too, but for now try 90%.

(@Dog88Christian)- Is there a way to check if webMAN is working? Because it didn't even seem to change not even at all it was at 35% before too.
By the way @I3allermann82 and @Dog88Christian if I replace the thermal paste will there be a drastic difference in temperature or just a little? I want it to be worth opening up my PS3 for.

Well assuming your temps are that high most of your current paste is probably damaged. Meaning it would most likely improve temps highly.

As far as Webman, after you set fan speed you are supposed to save settings. Then it will tell you to restart.
