(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Hello I have a cfw PS3 that I've had for a while, it hasn't been used for a few months but the other day I've tried turning it on, it'll turn on then off within 5 seconds. I ordered new thermal paste and applied that twice with no luck. Same problems still occurs. Any idea what it is and how to fix it? Thanks

Did you try putting it in safe mode? Maybe the firmware is corrupted or something came loose inside.

Thanks. I would try that but just checked the the console over and I've lost a ribbon cable that goes from the motherboard go the psi so when a new one get delivered I will give it ago. But I was thinking if its turning on and turning off within a few seconds then how am I meant to be going into safe mode ect ?

Well that ribbon is most likely causing the issue. Once you have it connected see if issue persists, if so then attempt accessing safe mode.
