I have a few questions hoping that someone can answer.

I would like to use USB if possible to get the files onto the PS3

•Do you have to have your PS3 jail broke to run mods?

•I'm really just looking to run an aim bot. Nothing fancy not need all of the other bells and whistles but if they all come together that's fine.

2. You need to jailbreak to run aimbot. MW2 will allow it through CFG but newer games won't let you without a jailbreak.

1. Yes. In order to run mods you need to have a jail broken PS3 console.
2. Mod Menu's regularly come with plenty of other cool goodies. You cannot just get a mod menu for aim bot only. If you get a mod menu, it always includes other stuff.

There are such things as OFW mods, through cfg (on usb), modded savegames, transferred patch.ff, etc. For newer games, jailbreaks are essential for both functionality and security.

The thing is we use the PS3 to run all the media in our house Netflix, Amazon, YouTube etc. I don't mind jail breaking the PS3 but will it make it challenging to run everything else ? Or can I jailbreak just to mod and everything else will run like normal.

You would need to downgrade your PS3, and could risk console ban eventually.
