(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); I have a verizon westell dsl router/modem. its a router and a modem put together. I read somewhere that it is dangerous to use a lag switch directly from the modem because it can damage it. And i rather not break mine. So is it safe to connect my lagswitch from my modem/router to my xbox 360?

no, its not dangerous at all. the worst it can do is break your ethernet cable if you, for example, cutthe wrong wires, etc. also, directly from your modem will give you more lag time.

Sorry to bump an old thread, but this thread is the reason why I joined. I also have a 2 in 1 router/modem and this thread cleared things up. This is a useful thread thanks.

The only not safe way to lag is flooding your modem/router aka nettools
