when saying "wireless" lag switch (net tools, cain, the note pad one etc) does that mean lag switch for wireless connections? Or can any of these "wireless lag switches " work with a wired connection?
And im thinking about making one if i can't get something for free on the comp that works with wired (because my wireless is shitty and id rather not switch back and forth between the wireless and wired just to lag switch someone whose lag switch against us because that involves leaving the game and such), does length of the ethernet cable really matter, or where the switch is placed (like if its closer to the front or the back of the cable how it would it effect it)?
and i was looking at how to set it up once you've made it and it said to set it up between the modem and the router? does it make a difference if you have it set up between your console and router? (that way it wouldnt cut out the internet to the rest of my house)
thanks for any help

one more thing is there a difference between using a lag switch and hitting the stand by button, the only thing that i could think of is your connection coming back faster when using a lag switch maybe?
