1st off, Once you upgrade there is no going back! If you're on F.W. 3.42 and want to do lobbies, don't upgrade! Hopefully there will be a new way to Jailbreak with that, or a possibility to downgrade from 3.42 (which I'm currently looking into).

2nd. You should save it till black ops comes out, or a different new game.

3rd. All the game company's need to do is create a new patch and everything is gone

so having 3.42 is ok? i hope your right about jailbreaking 3.42

It's kind of like the ipod I believe. All they did was change their security code to a more complex one, but we will figure it out. Also, there may be a way of downgrading that might get blocked in the future, so I would just keep it on 3.42 for now.

They haven't released it YET. Like with the ipod, it always took them a while to find it, but they always did. Hopefully they will find out how to hack 3.42.

okay thanks, I have 2 ps3s and I update both to 3.42 So If a new update comes I'll update just one PS3 to play online. thanks dude!

I have been thinking about upgrading, because unless we have custom firmwares up, eventually I will HAVE to since most games will require 3.42, and I want to play black ops online day 1.

You're so wrong, it's not even funny.

In the history of iPhones there have been hundreds of workable exploits found. It takes awhile to find them, but they are found.

There has been one PS3 exploit found. Ever. And it was just patched.

On top of that, it's not like once a new exploit is found it will be workable. The PSJailbreak is believed to be based off of Geohot's exploit found years ago. It took this long to find a way to use it.

Maybe a new exploit will be found, but probably not for a long time, if not before the PS4 comes out. And comparing all this to iPhones is just wrong.
