I have taken a $5 mp3 player, flashed it with arm linux and jailbroke a ps3 with arm linux.. NOW the reason i did it this way is to see if i could do it in linux it worked successfully.. now i am working on a virtual box Ubuntu version, i also will probally have to modify my own cable for pc to ps3 also it might only work on motherboards running usb 3.0.

I'm not releasing proof or a video cause frankly its not what i am working for so its a waste of time, once i get something to show in the ubuntu pc to ps3 via usb i'll release stuffs....


also i am working with someone who has more experiance then i could possible want and a former ps3 repair guy so we will be making this work on ps3 3.42 as i have updated today.

it might end up working only via linux, but if i do this properly i should be able to post howto's on doing all this from installing vbox to setting up ubuntu to confirugation to how to wire your cable...

Here's the thing:

The exploit that PSJailbreak, PSGroove, and PSFreedom all use was patched with 3.42.
Meaning you'll need a different exploit to make it work now, so long as you're not bypassing or downgrading.

And good luck with finding that new exploit. It only took some of the world's best hackers 3 or 4 years to find one.
