I found tutuorials, and none worked....The one I did and failed was making me us linux and all that.

I got stuck at the iBoot. It will NOT install on the iPod. The command works but it doesn't do anything.

I used Spirit to jailbreak

For a start, Spirit Jailbreaks aren't supported.

Secondly, I'm almost certain it's not possible on the iTouch 2g/3g

if you only readed the compatability you would have saved 11 hours. its only for ipod 1g and iphone 1+2g as of now.
