I think the firmware file is different for US and EU PS3's.

they always use the same path i think, just replace the ps3updat.pup on their server..
you're linking to the newest update, which is 3.42 (I downloaded using the same link & noticed just in time, it was 3.42 showing on my update-screen)

Incorrect. The URL says 2010_0727. That's the date that 3.41 was released.

Eu not working mate

I live in Belgium, installed the first link, no problem, updated without any problems..

I downloaded a 3.41 link somewhere & when I put the .pup on my flash drive on ps3 it showed as 3.42..
& i checked the URL as well, showed 27th of July but still....

how do you change the fw though if your already 3.42
