(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); I had a look around and can't find any post on hiding your ip on the ps3.
I'm about to jb my console and start hosting some challenge lobbies but don't really want the chance of getting banned.

Does anyone know any software to do this. I've looked at the proxy's but they are just for web viewing.

I havent heard of someone's PS3 that's banned because of Jailbreak yet...
Even if your PS3 get's banned there will probably be some Hack to unban it.

yeah.. read a bit more into it and its the console id which will get banned. Doesn't look like anyone has found a way to prevent this yet tho :(

a console cannot be banned based on its IP address, a console is banned based on its MAC address and so no matter what you do with the IP it will always show the MAC address and more importantly manager.pkg / /GAMEZ/LAUN-12345

Wrong.
They don't ban your MAC address, they ban the Console Id, also known as PSID (Don't confuse it with you PSN ID because they are two very different things.)

Oh, and I wish you luck on your fight with high colestrol, noob. Happy

MAC address' are irrelevant. In fact, I believe someone proved to us that SONY can't ever see your MAC address as it never leaves your console. What SONY does see is your console ID and that is what gets banned.

sorry about getting mixed up between the ps ID and MAC address the fact of the matter is sony can identify a console by its MAC address and PS ID so thus being able to BAN it. And also Razbuton sony can see a mac address but when it leaves the console it becomes encrypted so there would be no way of knowing what it says unless you have the de-cryption key read the sony PSN terms of use it will say this in it.

Right now there is not a way although I do have a slight idea on how it might be possible through a hack but I'll work on it and get back to you!
