This pisses me off, it makes me want to hack more, but my bro updated and i'll have to wait, I think the best way to go is modding the blueray drive software or a mod chip to be soldered or attatched to the DVD drive, it must be possible, but hard...

Sony doesn't give a shit about third party peripherals! It's the vendor, in this case Splitfish who doesn't care to publish an update that works for the Sony's 3.50 firmware update. :n:
I have emailed Splitfish and they answer with bad excuses such as:
"Please send us your receipt did you have we can check this and use this then also for our Court proceedings against piracy.
SplitFish will not be releasing an update to correct this issue as the V1 has been discontinued and not been produced by SplitFish in over 2 years.
When you want also change your controller to a V2 are we offerate following:
Within our customer loyalty program we offer our FragFX V2 at a significantly reduced price for those who wish to update to Sonys Firmware 3.50:
New FragFXv2: + 20$ / 20€ (+12$ or 18$ shipping coast)
The V1 has been discontinued and not been produced by SplitFish in over 2 years.
There are some counterfeit (illegal) controllers deceptively labelled as V2 that will cease to operate too. SplitFish does not support these.
So send us a copy of your receipt or purchase documents.
Also cut your cables from your controller and send us a picture.
Send us your address (e-Mail , shipping address and your phone number).

I am not cutting my bloody FragFX into pieces and send you a picture and I am not interested in paying more money!
I am so tired at this, perhaps go further with this to consumer agency depending on where you live?!
