one of my ps3 is a 60gb model on 3.41..
I used this ps3 to jailbreak & transfer mw2 patches to my other ps3..
I have both ps3 fpt server & comgeenies awesome filemanager installed, but neither of them start..
My ps3 is jailbroken alright, I see the install packages feature, I can use that, it's just, when I try to start any of the homebrew programs my ps3 goes to black screen & freezes there..
sometimes I can turn it off by pressing the power button 3sec, sometimes I just have to cut the power..
any ideas as to why this is happening ? :p
I tried several things, wired/wireless connection, other power supply, other br-drive, disconnection cardreader/ ...

WELL I DO NOT NO THAT MUCH ABOUT THIS STUFF YET BUT WHAT I KNOW IS THAT BEFORE YOU PLUG IN YOUR TEENSY USB BOARD OR WHAT EVER YOU HAVE YOU HAVE TO TURN OFFTHE POWER AND PULL OUT THE POWER CORD THEN PLUG USB BOARD BACK IN AND HOOK POWER CORD BACK UP AND IT SHOULD WORK AND YOU HAVE TO GET THE RIGHT PROGRAM FOR YOUR USB BOARD HOPE I HAVE HELP IM GETTING A TEENSY USB BOARD VERSION 2.0 IN THE MORNING HOPE IT ALL GOES WELL:y:

there's nothing wrong with the jailbreak..
it's when i try to RUN the homebrew !

what are you using to jailbreak? some devices can be dodgey.

I used it a LOT before & always worked.. ps3 had YLOD, i fixed it, I can jailbreak it, install the packages of usb drive
but when I try to start one of the apps, it fails..

Sounds like you found the source of your problem.

Does any normal game run? or do they crash when they go to start video content?

I just tried but seems like my bluray doesn't take the disc anymore.. motor's broken, cause i opened it & put a disc in, worked like a charm..
the game boots up fine, there was a small demo installed which also booted up fine.. I have no idea what's going on..
I'd hate to lose the JB ps3 :p

it isound like it is the hardware of your ps3 i had the same problem i even changed the blue ray player and it wont start up.any cd games or movies not even dvd

I had exactly the same thing took me ages to work it out dont know if this will help but it sorted mine out. if you have taken your machine apart and had the blue ray drive out then what you need to do is take the machine apart again and check the ribbon cable from the blueray player at the end where it fixes to the board ,check to see if it pluged right in and is tight because with mine it was a little loose . so what i did to fix it was to use a cut down bit of biro pen the same width of the gap where the ribbon clips in ,so keeping it pushed down tight when the drive is placed on top and is all screwed together

all is connected okay, as i can boot games (if i get the disc in by tearing apart the drive )
also, my ps3 is never screwed together :p the top is on, but no screws inside, cause it's a lot faster to open
