Post: PS3 Downgrade Question

(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Firstly I'm in no way a an expert in hacking or modding consoles but I have been looking all over the net since I updated my PS3 to 3.50 before I even knew 3.41 had been hacked... and basically I've been trying to think of ways to downgrade the firmware because it seems that it's just not going to get jailbroken.
But the problem I face is no seems to be explaining why things won't work, they just say no you can't do it, no it's impossible... very frustrating when you want to know why...
I've basically been thinking more along the lines of a hardware mod/hack whereby you "somehow" connect up to the NAND physically, and since 3.41 has been hacked take a dump of the NAND from that and flash it onto the 3.50 NAND through a PC or something connected to it, then put in a fresh/formatted HD and the PS3 should look at the NAND for the last FW used and ask you to update with that, which should now be 3.41...
Could this work? Would it be even possible to re-flash the NAND? Since the PS3 would actually be turned on (NAND powered some other way) then this hypervisor thingy wouldn't be checking anything... or is the FW version stored somewhere else too? Like the BIOS... does updating the firmware actually update BIOS to same version too and still knows which version should be loaded?

Sorry if the post is long... would like to hear other peoples views on it, cannot seem to find any other info anywhere to answer the questions.
And I am in no way able to try this myself Smile
