Post: QUESTION-Dev_flash emulator folders WTF

(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); I just set up the FTP server, its working fine, I found this rather interesting and weird. There is 3 emulator folders, all 3 say "ps1emu, ps2emu, and pspemu" My question is....do those showup for all of you guys also? xD I didn't want to sound like a newb I was wondering why there is such folders in my ps3...because thats the Dev_flash...I'm confused about that because first of all why is there folders in my ps3 like that HIDDEN teasing me about emulators, and second they are taking up quite a bit of space. Would it be safe to delete them???...Or are those files NEEDED to actually read my ps1 and ps2 games? But if thats true why is there a pspemu folder? Wtf would that have anything to do with the ps3?

OH actually I got another question, how do you see how big the "hdd0" folder is? I want to see how much space I got left...because I may want to transfir a big game if I got enough room left, oh and if I delete the "Home" folder that wouldnt harm the ps3 would it? Afterall I deleted my account on it...I find it to be a waste of space now. ehhh I "could" just drag over the hdd0 folder to my desktop XD but I bet anything it would probably take like hours to transfir...since that holds most of the ps3's stuff

Well put it this way.. if every things there and the ps3 is running, its probably best keeping it that way. Smile never know what deleting one folder will do. Just keep the little bit extra data and avoid corrupting anything. Wel thats my thought.

adding and deleting games thats fine.

And if u wanna see how much space in it.. just right click and hit properties. (pretty sure u can do that in winscp)

Winscp? I don't know what that is. I'm using Filezilla and right clicking does nothing interesting at all.

winscp is exactly like filezilla just you dont ever got the problem of being signed out.

With winscp, you right click the file u wanna know about, click properties, then click calculate and it will calculate how big that folder is. Smile
