(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Well um first of all last night I tried to take out my Ps3break last night and it ripped the outer shell off because the company are stupid morons that don't know how to put together a device. lol Second I fixed it up this morning and super glued it back together, it works still just fine BUT!......the update button which was taken out of it, it no longer stays in it, so I attempted to press the stwitch inside the thing with a pencil and or saftiy pin and it does NOTHING, I have the program and the hex file for upgrading it except it wouldnt read it!...it wouldnt boot up to its thing....so...IF an update comes out that is really a "must" then I'm screwed right? >_> And to be honest I dont even know if it would have worked before this even happend knowing the company that put this thing together....falling apart like that....how rude of them. Anyway....anyone else on here that has the same issue or has the Ps3break also? Hope I'm not the only one that owns this clone.

Haxor!
How much did you pay for it ?

You have to be careful what you buy as a lot (probably most) of pre-programed USB jailbreak dongles have moved on to using the cheap pic chips, (not the more expensive programmable Atmel chips) ... yet on the websites they still state that they are up-datable.

My choice is the Minimus 32 AVR USB Development Board with the ATMEL ATMEGA32U2 chip and the new case that will be available very soon ! It may cost a bit more than $30 US, but well worth it IMO. You must login or register to view this content.

Mine was like only 25 or 30. I mean it works great except for the upgrade thing not working. In fact I looked more into it and even tried to go into device manager to look for "other devices" except that never showed up even though the pdf file on ps3break's site SAYS it does but i9t doesnt...I may try it on my dad's computer to see if it will work or not...if it doesnt then I am screwed for sure. I also emailed Ps3break support email so...I guess I got to wait and see if anyone responds. Thanks for replying, at least someone said somthing. You guys are my only hope to help me.

Edit----WOW...I just noticed I have the "long" version of Ps3break...according to what I just read it is NOT upgradable!....wow....just.....wow...and according to the site they show an image and for the long one they put "solving upgrade issue" sooo I I guess I have to wait for them to come out with a fix maybe?

Did it come in the case with the "white foam" if so, the version of PS3break you have a ATMEL chip that can be upgraded with FLIP and without any troubles or any additional soldering work (thank God!).

Or the "pink foam" if so, the version of PS3break you have a PIC micro controller with a FAKE upgrade button and it can't be upgraded (yet or not?) as easy as ATMEL's version, probably needs soldering work. Bottom line: you can't update your PIC at the moment, no matter what resellers or manufacturer are saying!

Shit. Ya I can't upgrade then. I got the one with the pink foam. I had a feeling...thank you for taking the time to help explain things. That tells me alot. And it also upsets me.
