requirements:
ps3 with 3.41
mw2
something to jailbreak your ps3 with. (there are many different devices that can do this)
Optional:
in this tutorial i will show how to take your patch online without losing your 3.41 firmware. (requires 2 ps3's and a ethernet cable)

Downloads:
filezilla You must login or register to view this content.
FTP server: You must login or register to view this content.
mw2 working ps3 patches (ive tested all of these) (note: these patches were created by other people. credits go to original creators) : You must login or register to view this content.

Step 1:
make sure your ps3 is running on 3.41, if it is not, then this will not work. (if its under 3.41, update with a usb drive)

Step 2:
make sure your ps3 is connected to the internet either wirelessly or by a ethernet cable.

step 3:
delete the mw2 game data from your ps3 (if you have any)

step 4:
start up mw2 and download the 1.11 patch

step 5:
after its finished downloading. quit game

step 6:
shut down system and jailbreak your ps3.

step 7:
with a usb drive, install the ftp server onto your ps3

step 8:
run ftp server both on your computer and on your ps3

step 9:
click start ftp server on your ps3

step 10:
on your computer, type in your ip address for the host, user name is FTPD12345, password leave blank, port 21. then connect

step 11:
go to /dev_hdd0/game/BLUS303777/USRDIR

step 12:
drag whatever patch you want to use into this folder, it will ask to overwrite, click yes

step 13:
on ps3, click stop ftp server, then exit to xmb. (if ps3 freezes just restart ps3 normally)

step 14:
start up mw2 and check if your patch worked (start up a split screen game)

note: if you get a black screen after clicking on multiplayer, the patch didnt work. could be patch was done incorrectly, or you have different blus number

TAKE YOUR PATCH ONLINE:
now, if your patch worked correctly and you dont care about losing your ability to jailbreak, then just go ahead and update to 3.50 and yorue ready to go

if you have 2 ps3's, youre lucky, you can go online without losing the ability to jailbreak in the future.

step 1
make sure you back up all your personal stuff from the ps3 that has 3.50. this includes videos, pictures, deactivating your system.

NOTE: DOING THIS WILL REFORMAT YOUR 3.50 HARDDRIVE, SO YOU WILL LOSE EVERYTHING. BACK IT UP TO YOUR COMPUTER FIRST

step 2
connect both ps3's with a ethernet cable

step 3
go to system settings, data transfer utility. (on both ps3)

step 4
the ps3 that has 3.41 is the ps3 that you want to transfer the data from

step 5
follow the on screen instructions. it usually takes about 5 minutes. (depending on how much memory you have used up on your ps3 with 3.41)


congratulations. you now have the same patch on both ps3's. you can now change your patch over and over whenever you want.

can we use more then one patch at the same time?

no. you can only use one patch at a time

so this does really work? and wont get black listed from psn? wanna know to i can try, got three ps3s(3.15fat,3.41fatJB,3.50slim)

works 100% correctly. :]. try doing data transfer so you dont lose your ability to jailbreak. check out the youtube link for a video tutorial
