Post: Data transfer utility problem

it just says 'you must first set the ps3 system that will send the data.From the ps3 system that will send the data, select [1.transfer data from this system to other ps3 system.] under [data transfer utility].
please help plus im trying to send data from 3.41 to 3.50

Have you made sure you have deleted all the profiles off the 3.41 ??
1.first with the 3.41 go to setting
2 click on datatransfer and then click on the number 1 .it should take you to the the screen where it shows a picture of the ps3 (dont press anything further just wait )
3.with the 3.50 ps3 go to setting then data transfer and HIGHLIGHT THE NUMBER 2 OPTION WAIT (dont press anything further just wait )
4. FIRST PRESS X ON THE 3.41 OPTION AND THEN QUICKLY PRESS X ON THE 3.50 OPTION then WAIT FOR 10 SEC IT SHOULD PICK IT UP

sorry mate what i ment to say was delete the old profile and create a new one and then use that to data transfer
ps i dont know why you have to delete

but im sorry im really bad at this but would i loose all saved data on that profile then?
