You have to downgrade from 3.50 which it probably ships with. If it ships with 3.55 you are SOL but I don't think they ship with that yet

As fast as you get to buy the PS3
the lower FW it will be.

Sony are selling all new ps3's with newest firmwares.

So get buying

Dont worry if its 3.50 or 3.42 Just downgrade it

EDIT: I guess there is nothing to worry about, my friend got a Ps3 that have never played online, its almost a year old, so i guess it have 3.41 I just buy a new and trade with him iguess

download the offical 3.41 make a folder called PS3/UPDATE and put the update.pup in the update folder then the root of a device and update via usb

Their still shipping with firmware 3.42, Their not ganna bother selling Ps3's with 3.50 on them because its Jailbreakable.. Heard a rumor that starting after christmas all newly made Ps3's will have FW 3.55 installed already to eliminate Jailbreaking.

Pretty much if you want a new Ps3 that your ganna be able to hack.. Buy one now, may be your last chance.

And just what Blake said.. When you turn on Ps3 make sure you dont sign in or whatever cause it will prompt you to update to 3.55, Just put the 3.41 firmware onto a FAT32 Formatted flashdrive, and save it in a folder called "UPDATE" and then make another file called "PS3" and Copy the UPDATE file with the Firmware into the PS3 folder, So when you go on your flashdrive its PS3>UPDATE>3.41.PUP

Then go to settings on the XMB and click Update, hit install from Device or whatever else it says and choose the firmware file from your USB, just dont click from internet.

Its 3.50 FirmWare, so im good Now im going to order E3-Card Reader, and im back on track in a week :y:

i just bought a ps3 slim of play and it came with 3.41 firmware on it so no need to downgrade

Your lucky then, but downgrading only takes extra 5 minutes
