(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Okay, so I keep getting a black screen when opening FTP server, this is apparently caused by the broken blue-ray player, since it's broken the ps3 senses this and therefore doesn't load the homebrew.

Does anyone know how to get around this problem or a way to do the same thing the FTP does, but a different way??

Might download another FTP... only this app is not working or all the apps? if is all the apps you possibly have to change your bd player

Oh shit m8, i can't help you probably you have to buy a new bd player /facepalm

i have same problem what happens is when ever booting something the ps3 "calls" the drive and if it call back it gets stuck in a loop hence the black screen... ive been trying to see if their is ftp that dont need blue ray.. but maybe if we can get ftp that dont need blue ray it will work.. till then we cant do anything other than new bd

Yh i have sold that ps3 and bought a new one with no faults. I researched and yh its cos the disc drive looks for a disc when it loads up a "game" such as ftp server. No disc drive means it wont load
you could either buy a 2nd hand ps3 or get the disc drive fixed.

Funny thing is the person who bought mine wants to jailbreak it hahaha but he doesnt know it wont work, but its ebay so he cant get a refund

Yea ive been trying to fix the drive i cleaned the lens las night but idk ill try replacing the lens today if that dont work ill jus replace the whole drive...
