TI-84/TI-84+ Connection Fix

Okay so I tried connecting my TI-84 so I could install some payloads but the TI Connect program could never find it so I did some investigating. After trying many methods I discovered that many posts on different websites said that they use to work but all of a sudden stopped working and no matter what they tried it would never reconnect. Such methods such as cleaning the USB port, replacing the USB port, connecting then disconnecting, reinstalling the program or getting a new one but I have found a way to fix it. So lets start.

1. Try reconnecting it and see if you're computer detects it. If it can't find you're device then you have my problem. You must login or register to view this content.

2. If not go to device manager.

3. Look under Unviversal Bus Controller.

4. Plug in you're TI calculator and device manager will refresh.

5. Look for what changed. For me it was generic USB hub. Right click and uninstall it.

7. Unplug you're calculator then reconnect. Windows should install drivers and then device manager should refresh. A new item will show up.

8. Try TI Connect and it should detect a TI Device.

So thats it. Just be careful not to uninstall important windows drivers.
